Peer Reviews are a two part assignment. You must post your paper AND go back and provide feedback. Please see the instructions below.
1. Read the Assignment Sheet and Rubric (which may be found within the assignment page) – Workplace Memo.
2.Review the Sample Memo Format or Sample Memo Format with Professor Recording.
3.Draft your memo including your research, design, and format.
4.Read the Guidelines for Participating in Peer Reviews and Rubric – Peer Reviews
5.Post Draft by Wednesday.
6.Respond by Friday to two (2) other students. To earn full credit, you MUST use all the questions below to conduct your peer reviews. Responding yes or no is not enough. Give the writer feed back they can use to revise.
Peer Review Questions for Workplace Memo

1. What does the opening paragraph inlcude to prepare the audience for the memo?
Does it provide brief background information and a purpose statement?
How could the purpose of the memo be more clear?
Based on the purpose statement provided, the audience should know from the start why you are writing this memo.
2. Is the case study introduced and summarized? Name of the case study must be included when it is introduced.
What would make the summary better? More details? Fewer details? Be specific.
3. Is there a section which includes what went wrong?
Does the writer quote the case study, pulling specific examples details of what happened? Be specific.
4. Is there a section which discusses what the writer thinks could or should have been done to prevent this situation?
Does the writer use research in a meaningful way to support the writers position?
Is the ALL research presented as required in this course?
If the answer is no, include what is missing.
5. Does concluding paragraph recap and make a statement about leadership and the best method to prevent issues like this from happening?

6. Are there headings/subheadings within this document? Do they guide the reader through the memo?
7. Is the memo formatted correctly?
8. Is every sentence clear and easy to follow?
If you can’t answer the above questions because the memo is missing what I am asking you about, respectfully provide the writer specific suggestions on how they can make their memo better.
