Overall Rubric for each cover-slip:
In at least 250-words, your cover-slip for this goal should address the following:
Introduce the goal itself. What does it mean to you? How did you interact with this goal through the program (and potentially leading up to the program)? Said differently, how is this goal important to you?
Describe the specific course artifact that you are highlighting in order to demonstrate your learning in this area.
Discuss the ways in which this artifact demonstrates your learning in this goal. Please make sure you read the rubric for this goal and consider drawing direct connections between the artifact and the language in the rubric.
FAQS:
Q: How should I write this cover-slip if I have more than one artifact?
A: Organization is your friend here! The introduction of the goal itself can be more general but when you start to describe the artifact consider using headings to make it clear to the reader what you are talking about when describing the artifact and when discussing how you’ve interacted with the goal.
Q: Looking back, I think I could have done a better job exemplifying the goal through my chosen artifact. Does that mean I should pick another artifact?
A: Your readers want to see what you’ve learned and learning happens over time. As long as you demonstrate learning within the areas outlined in the rubric, that’s what counts. In fact, you might consider including some writing on how your artifact could have better met the learning goals you are speaking to. This would show a deep understanding of the goal itself and would demonstrate your on-going reflection.
