Assignment Introduction
In unit 2, we learned about many of the legal requirements that has shaped how we manage human resources into today’s business world. These regulations came from somewhere and that somewhere was court cases with individuals versus organizations that gave us our regulatory requirements for today’s HR environment. For this assignment, you are going to research a specific case of your choice and write a case analysis. I have attached a document that tells you how to write a case briefing, and the parts that go along with the project. This exercise will address CLO 1 and CLO 2.
Assignment Instructions
For the assignment, you must have the following parts for your write-up: (A) citation (B) facts (C) issue (D) decision (E) reason (F) analysis. The handout tells you exactly how to write a case brief and I am adding an analysis section. In the analysis section, you are to discuss how you think the case plays its role in the field of human resources. Discuss how you think it changed the field of HR and as an HR manager, what will you do to make sure you follow the law pertaining to your chosen case. The assignment should be a minimum of one full page, double spaced.
The total points for this assessment will be 50 points and I have attached the paper rubric that will define how it will be graded. You must cite your sources in APA formatting. For this assignment, you must have at least one source. Please make sure to create a reference page and you provide in-text citations. If you need to review APA formatting, please review the APA folder that I put together for you.
