Throughout this course, you will practice what you’ve learned by completing week

Throughout this course, you will practice what you’ve learned by completing weekly research journals.
For your first journal, Research Journal 1, you will pick a research
topic, do background research on that topic, develop research questions
for the topic, and brainstorm keywords for future research on the topic.
Be sure to pick a topic you are truly interested in! You will be working with this same topic for the rest of the course.
Assignment Directions
Download the following worksheet: Research Journal 1 – Starting Your Research – Fillable Form.pdf

Open, read, and fill out all portions.
SAVE your completed, filled out journal.
Submit your completed journal here by the deadline.
Tips for Success
Double-check that you are submitting a fully completed worksheet;
empty or partially completed worksheets will result in a lower grade or
zero.
Review the module content and assignment rubric before submitting to ensure you’ve done everything to earn all possible points.
Do not use the example topic used in the module (California high
school students and alternatives to punishment for students of color).
