There are three main ways to advocate for or against a law or policy: 1) a policy analysis paper, 2) a policy brief, and 3) a policy memo. As healthcare leaders, it is not likely that you will have the time to develop a policy analysis paper or a policy brief. However, as a community leader with ties to the political environment, you could be called upon to advocate for or against a proposed law or policy that impacts your healthcare organization.
