Conflicts are often rooted in differences in how a person sees themselves and others.
Part I: Complete “How Emotionally Intelligent Are You?” is located on the MindTools website. A link has been provided for you in the topic resources. Write a 250- to 500-word essay that includes the following information:
Reflect on the results. Do you agree with the answers?
Have someone else complete the same assessment with you in mind, reflecting how they see you. Then compare and summarize the results.
What conflicts arise when how someone sees themselves and how others see them do not align?
Part 2: Reflect on your emotional intelligence, and you will respond to emotional triggers as a coach.
Describe steps you will take as a coach to be “in check” with your emotions, including some possible consequences of not being “in check” with your emotions.
What will you use to ensure your emotional state is appropriate when interacting with clients, even with clients who clash with you?
Include three to four scholarly references.
