I am writing a paper to reflect on my ELL Student Teaching, and I need to write a portion about the research implications. Basically, describe the research that impacted the unit plan that I created. These are the specific scaffolds that I need to find research on and write about:
– Storyboards
– Visual Aids
– Modeling
– Sentence Stems
– Breaking down tasks
– Connect to prior knowledge (connect to a familiar task)
These are the research questions that I used to find research:
– Using storyboards (storymaps, flowcharts, etc.) to teach ELLs sequencing
– Visual aids as a scaffold for sequencing/narrative writing for ELLs
– etc.
I’ve also attached a paper with some research already done, but it just needs to by synthesized and written. This is only a portion of the paper, not the whole paper. I really just need the research found and explained so that I can continue on with the rest of my paper. If possible, I need at least one source for each scaffold to explain how each scaffold can benefit ELLs or be used to teach scaffolding to ELLs. However, if you can find more, that would be helpful too.
