This class is applied calculus
What do you wish you had known about the course before you started? Think perhaps in terms of content, difficulty, workload, asynchronous format etc. How might you approach your next math class, if applicable, so that you are more prepared at its start?
What topics were especially challenging? What did you do to overcome the challenge? How does this experience prepare you to face similar challenges in future classes?
What success strategies (such as those for getting help or test preparation) did you adopt in our class that you might use in future classes?
What advice, guidance, and/or suggestions would you give to future students in the class
here is an example : From the beginning of the class, I wish I didn’t underestimate the workload for this class. The amount of questions weren’t too bad considering we had practically unlimited tries on the homework and there were videos in case you needed a quick refresher on a concept.
For test prep, I also found that reviewing the practice assessments and honing in on what I spent the most time on helped with future assessments. I initially felt constrained on time for the second assessment but it turned out I just wasn’t as organized as I thought was.
If I could offer any advice to future students, it’s definitely to do the work immediately. Sometimes I felt that I could space out assignments, which became an issue some weeks since my other classes would also post assignments that weren’t on the syllabus. This was stressful since I would then have a larger than expected workload across all my classes. I realized it’s better to work on things that come up immediately rather than delaying it to the point where you might start feeling suffocated by everything.
