I am First Name and Last Name, and I have lived in Florida for almost 20 years with my mother and younger brother. I moved from Houston, Texas where I initially started as a registered nurse working in the Emergency Department. I completed my bachelor’s degree from Nursing at Miami Dade College as an employee of Baptist Health of South Florida. In addition, I worked in intensive care and emergencies for 14 years until I finished my FNP at Barry University with honors in 2019 and my PMHNP in 2022 at Husson University.
My work history during the Emergency Departments plus my passion and interest in Advance Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner and currently as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner has been closed related to care that I received from the admission patients during my shifts and the compassion working as an Advance Practice Nurse and knowing that the client is a biopsychosocial being that is why my feelings have allowed me what I have learned in the classroom every day during this program, and I use it in future practical work. The goal as a DNP Preparate Nurse is to be able to unite all the knowledge that I have achieved here in this wonderful program to be able to increase the knowledge relate to identification, critique, evaluation, and synthesis of research at the highest level to be able at the end of this program help to improve changes to healthcare practice and quality improvement.
I live in Tampa, Florida with my parents. I currently work for almost 2 years as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at an inpatient and outpatient Hospital Adult setting, dedicated to our role as Psych NP in Florida. Before that I was a Family care provider. My goal is to complete my DNP.
