Question 3. Everyone needs to eat! In this exercise, I challenge you to scrutinize the process followed the last time you ordered something to eat at a walk-up counter, food truck, or drive-thru.
Briefly explain the situation (Where are you? What’s for lunch/dinner/coffee?)
Sketch out the process at a high level using the Process Modeling Library blocks.
Define the Process Modeling Library blocks used in terms of how they work and any properties modified for their performance.
Run the simulation experiment for at least two hours and track the number of individuals processed at each step of the model.
Change the random seed to 5 and report whether the number of individuals processed at each step of the model is different or the same, and why you think that’s the case.
Develop a process-centric model in AnyLogic
Selected blocks illustrate a medium-to-high level abstraction model (10 pts)
Model successfully runs and runs for 2 hours of simulated time (15 pts)
Turn-in:
Medium-to-high level of abstraction model in .alp format (25 pts)
Note: eCampus will only allow you to submit one file per question, submit your model (.alp file) here.
