approximately 10 minutes. The topic of the presentation will be the grant project you applied for as part of Module 4 Persuasive Grant Essay. Because this is a short presentation, you will look to capture the key points from your essay and present them as if you are in front of the Excelsior grant funding team. You will want to introduce the project, describe why it is important, highlight the goals, objectives, and outcomes, all while making your case to receive the funding. You will not be able to highlight everything from your essay so focus on the key points that you would present if you had the opportunity to pitch your project. You will use the information you have learned this week about how to create an effective presentation. This includes following these three steps for organizing your presentation content: 1) Tell the audience what you are going to tell them, 2) Tell them, and then 3) Tell them what you told them. Be sure to take time to engage in the writing process. Leave time to revise and rehearse your oral presentation before you record that component. Your presentation should include the following elements: • Title slide (with the name of the presentation, your name, credentials, and date). • Intro/agenda/overview slide that describes what you are going to present. • Content slides (include a sufficient number to capture all your content but stay within the 10-minute timeframe). • Conclusion slide that summarizes your presentation and key points. • Voice over of your presentation. • Reference slide if you have information that needs to be cited. You will need to submit both the written and the oral components of your presentation. I can do the oral.
