Annotated Bibliography guidelinesYour annotated bibliography is a list of all the sources that you might use for your documentedresearch paper, meaning that this assignment represents a works in progress in regards to yourresearch process. You may decide after completing the annotated bibliography that a source doesnot quite fit into your paper the way you intended and should be removed. You may also decidethat you need to find additional sources after your annotated bibliography has been completed(and possibly graded). This is GOOD because it means that you are actively thinking about waysto improve your paper. You do NOT need to write a new annotated bibliography if you decide tochange or replace sources. Remember, however, that your final documented research paperMUST include an up-to-date Works Cited page in MLA format.Your annotated bibliography must include the minimum list of six (6) source requirements:one historical/background newspaper or magazine articleone exhibit or example source that YOU will be analyzingthree scholarly sources from peer-reviewed academic journals or academic booksone theoretical or philosophical source that exhibits a methodological approachFollowing each MLA citation, write a two (2) paragraph annotation that will:Introduce the source (the title, author(s), year of publication, and anything thatdemonstrates the source’s and/or author(s) credibility)Summarize the source’s general topic and overall argument(s) or conclusion(s), whichmay be either implicitly or explicitly stated, as well as explain how the source supportsthose arguments or conclusionsExplain how you plan to use the source in your pape. Remember to be SPECIFIC. Try todefine particular ideas or questions within your topic that this source will help youanswer, support, or complicate. And finally, explain how this source relates to the sources either below or above it (orboth, preferably). This mean I want you thinking about the order in which you place yoursources on the page. Stasis theory may be helpful here.***Typically, sources in an MLA annotated bibliography or works cited page are listedalphabetically. Please disregard this rule for this assignment
