1. Middle Childhood (6-12 years) – 300-400 words Background: Charlotte is a healthy, untrained 10-year-old girl who has started playing hockey with a local club on weekends. She has not taken part in competitive sport prior to this, although she has enjoyed taking part in the exercise aspects of the school curriculum since starting primary school. a. Prior to becoming pregnant, Emma played local competition netball on the weekend (including one training session per week), walked her dog for 30 minutes most days, and went to a yoga class once 5 a week. Since becoming pregnant, Emma has not felt like exercising due to morning sickness. The nausea has now ceased, and she is hoping to return to her previously active lifestyle. c.
