The general format of the summary write-up should be as follows:
AT LEAST FOUR SOURCES (including the case study)
• Executive Summary (1 page: 12-point font, double line spacing): This section includes an overview of the case/problem, steps/actions to address the problem, and proposed solutions (25 % of the grade).
• Context or Scope of the Problem (1/2 page: 12-point font, double line spacing): This section communicates the importance of the problem and aims to convince the reader of the necessity of policy action/interventions (15% of the grade).
• Proposed Solutions/ Alternatives (1/2 -1 page: 12-point font, double line spacing): This section discusses the current marketing approach and proposed alternatives in the case. If you disagree with the proposed solution, suggest your alternative(s) (25% of the grade)
• Lessons Learned (1 page: 12-point font, double line spacing): In this section, the students are expected to identify at least three takeaways from the case and reflect and integrate factual knowledge and personal observation of food marketing to diverse populations in the United States (25% of the grade).
• References (no page limits): All in-text citations you include in the write-up should be included on the reference page. Please follow the Chicago 16th Author-Date format for citation style (10% of the grade).
The completed write-up should be submitted to the respective case folder on Canvas by the due date. All the submissions must be proofread for clarity. The write-ups turned in late (8 hours after the deadline) will be reduced by 10% per day in credit. Each write-up will be graded for a total of 100 points. The weightage given for each of the sub-sections of the write-up is indicated above.
