You have been hired as an analyst for a developer that lives in and really likes your assigned subdivision. The developer wishes to duplicate and build the exact number and type/style of homes as your assigned subdivision on some raw land (or near enough to raw land) in your assigned MSA.
If you decide to find a specific location in your assigned subdivision in your MSA, you may assume that the land is vacant, raw land, with no infrastructure and is big enough to double the size of your assigned subdivision. To make it simpler, anything like roads, railroad, ditches, streams can be assumed to have already been re-routed just around the outside of the property, although you are allowed to use anything that does exist on the land in your analysis if you wish.
Census, BLS and other sources we have learned could be good references for the analysis Remember you have a student account with ICSC marketplace that could be helpful as well.
To complete the 2 tasks below, use Ch 4 – Step 3 – Analysis of Demand
