Watch the TED Talk entitled “The
Danger of the Single Story” presented by novelist Chimamanda Adichie who tells the
story of how she found her authentic cultural voice and warns that if we see and hear
only a single story about another person, culture or country, we risk a critical
misunderstanding.
1. Describe how Ligua is different from you? Similar to you?

4. What could pose as a threat of seeing each of these individuals as a “single
story” described by Chimamanda Adichie versus a “pluristic story?”
